Clave Independence

In the video below, you’ll see an example of what you can do when you are able to play Clave with your cymbal hand and play whatever you wish with your other limbs.  I do have to warn you. This is a difficult independence to achieve. It took me a LOT of work to be able to play like I do in the video. I did it because I like latin drumming and because Clave independence seemed impossible to me at first. Turns out I was wrong. After the video, you’ll see a whole bunch of Clave independence exercises to help you get there.
